Judiciary workshop underway

​A week-long workshop for the Staff of the National Judiciary Services commenced yesterday at the Gateway Hotel in Port Moresby.

Chief Justice Sir Salamo Injia says the sessions will be based on the court information management system, while Thursday and Friday will be on the new rules on the election petition.

The PNG Judiciary Information Technology Workshop for all judges, associates, registry clerks and IT is an annual event that is aimed at properly equipping the National Judiciary Staff with appropriate skills on data management system using the latest technologies available. 

Safe keeping of court information has always been taken very seriously and the use of new technology is welcomed.

And with possibilities of election petitions looming after the 2017 National General Elections, the Judiciary staff is also preparing itself.
