The men were spotted on Friday by a Maritime Border Command (MBC) helicopter near Warrior Reef in a seven metre boat.
“The waters of the Torres Strait can be treacherous and these men are very lucky that MBC located and intercepted them when we did,” MBC commander Rear Admiral Peter Laver said.
Navy patrol boat Cape Fourcroy crew resupplied the boat with food, water and fuel and the men returned to PNG.
“Despite their ordeal the men were uninjured,” Australian Border Force said in a statement.
