Port Moresby Netball Association Premier Division will enter round two of tier matches tonight at the Rita Flynn Netball courts.
Both tier one and two opening matches on court one and two will start at 6pm.
The opening tier one match will see a young talented Esco Telstars side dominated mostly by U-21 and U-17 players taking on Credit Corporation Sparrows which are mostly made up of experienced and old timers (veterans).
Telstars line-up is likely to feature U-21 players like Boio Peter, Martha Matuka, Norleen Lewana, Ravusiro Vali and Catherine Benedin with support from U-17 players Barbara Kali, Eva Aua and Abigail Mai.
The young side will be guided by their senior players in Philomena Naime, Olive Jonah and Kimberly Alex.
Sparrows are progressing on a positive note with the inclusion of their old hands Kilala Owen, Joyce Nao, Aivu Logona and Naomi Leka.
The backup support of Sparrows Maimu Kala, Dianne Lahari and Aisha Roberts should be a threat therefore Telstars should be on alert.
Tier one main at 7.30pm will be the 2016 season Grand Final replay between reigning champions Paramana and Snax Mermaids.
Meanwhile, tier two opening match between Veupunama and Auna Fonza Raukele is also expected to see both teams face off in a good challenge.
City Pharmacy Rebels will take on Mona in tier two’s main game.
Tier one points ladder sees Snax Mermaids, Credit Corporation Sparrows and Paramana all on seven points with points differential favouring Mermaids while Esco Telstars are on three points and have yet to secure a win.
Tier two front runners are City Pharmacy Rebels with nine points followed by Auna Fonza Raukele on seven, Veupunama on five and Mona trailing with three points.
