HUAWEI PS United and Madang FC will play in the second and third placed semi-final in next week’s National Soccer League play-offs.
This Saturday’s wash-out match at Bisini between PS United and minor premiers Lae City Dwellers will be a good hit-out for the Port Moresby franchise.
While LCD will wait on the result between Prima Buang FC and Vitis Yamaros in the other wash-out match, which will decide the fourth placed and the other semi-finalist.
At this stage, Besta PNG United are in forth place, however that standing is not set with fifth placed Buang looking to equal 11 points, if victorious this weekend.
However, if Buang can conjure up the necessary goals to have a better ‘point’s for and against’ percentage, they could push Besta out of the race.
Currently the standings show LCD on top with 25 points, Madang not far behind on 19, PS United on 16, Besta PNG United 11, Buang 8 and Yamaros on 1.
So for Buang, soccer followers can expect the Lae franchise to go out all guns blazing in a no holds barred spectacle against Charles Aopi’s Yamaros.
However with Yamaros yet to win a match this season, this is their last chance as well to improve their debut record in the NSL.
This Saturday’s draw in Port Moresby will see Buang play Yamaros at 12.30pm and then LCD against PS United at 3pm.
