The Children’s Christmas Feeding Committee will be staging the annual feeding program for underprivileged children on the 9th of December.

The committee is anticipating to feed more than 3000 children this year.

In 2014, about 900 children were fed, in 2015 they fed about 1200 children and last year 2016 about 2700 children were fed.

A recent fundraising event held by the Children’s Christmas Feast Committee recently at the Royal Yacht Club successfully raised more than K80,000 to feed the children this year.

The Children’s Christmas Feast is a charity event hosted annually at Konedobu Oval in Port Moresby. The aim of this event each year is to bring joy to underprivileged children living in Port Moresby by providing them with food, drinks, games, and entertainment.

Each year the Children’s Christmas Feast Committee fundraises to be able to host this event. The Committee is made up of five women Lady Ni Cragnolini, Elisa Cragnolini, Leanne Burrows, Sue Exton and Ella Kasu.

“We host this event each year as a way to give back to our community.  The Children’s Christmas Feast was launched in December 2014 and this year will be the fourth year the committee has hosted this event. Our statistics are below.”

“In 2017, our Committee aims to feed over 3000 children. The event would not be possible without the support of our many sponsors and volunteers.”

Parents have been urged to bring their children aged 5 to 12 years of age to the Konedobu Oval next month. A date will be advised when set.
